Weather

With the weather we've been having these past few days and what they're predicting, I'm betting we'll be seeing snow on our mountains in the next couple of days.

Where am I living anyway? Surely, it can't be Lake Havasu City, AZ....

Tis The Season

Wishing a Very Merry Christmas to each and every one of you!

What's with the weather!

I have been freezing these last few days.
What's up with this weather? When I come to Lake Havasu I expect "warm your bones" kind of weather not freeze my toes. I will be so glad when we see the 70s again. I'm hoping this happens very very soon.

I'm back

Hello Arizona!

It sure feels good to be back in the sunshine after spending several rainy weeks in Alaska.

I've hit the ground running with a full schedule at college but I've still got plenty of time to work and play besides.

I'm so looking forward to this holiday season and once again I'll be baking pies.

Hope all of you had a great summer and give me a call if you need any assistance....

It's almost time to say goodbye to AZ for a few months.

It's time to return to our beatiful Alaska for the summer.

Fish Fry

When it's time to start saying, "Goodbye" to our friends, that's when the dinners begin.

Yesterday afternoon about 30 of us got together and had an end of winter fish fry.

The weather was so nice that there was no need to worry about where everyone was
going to sit. Just throw up a few folding tables and sit out in the garage as the fish was being fried. Thank you, Roy and Carol for including us!

There will be a few more dinners in the coming weeks as we all slowly head back to our summer destinations.

Here's hoping that all our friends have a wonderful summer wherever they may be. We'll see you again this coming fall.

Cooking Corn On The Cob In a Cooler

Cooler Corn On The Cob

This is an easy way to cook corn fast and keep it warm.

1) A cooler with a drain plug...any size depending on how much corn of the cob you are cooking.
2) Shuck the ears of corn and place in a clean cooler.
3) Boil water and pour over corn in cooler and close the lid.
4) Corn will cook in 15 -20 minutes
5) Drain hot water by pulling the drain plug...be careful, the water will be hot or don't drain..???
6) Corn will stay hot in the cooler

This is a great way to safe space on your stove and the corn can be cooked ahead of time.

This is an excellent way to cook and serve Corn on The Cob for a large group of people....

What is it with this weather?

It seems like the wind has blown all winter.

And it's time that it stops....

Where has the time gone? It's already Easter and spring has arrived.

I've neglected my blogs these past few months but I've promised myself that I'll do better from now on.

College is taking up a large part of my time but I'm loving it. If you're feeling you need to be doing something more, think about heading back to school.
